Summer Haul | Primark, H&M, Asos, New Look + Missguided

Now that summer as well and truly arrived I thought it was time for a long awaited shopping trip to update my wardrobe and get me summer holiday ready!

Let's start with everyone's favourite, Primark...

The first item I picked up was this blue and white striped, high neck crop top. I really liked the style of this top and I think it will be really easy to wear during summer as you could style it in so many different ways

Crop Top - £5
Similarly, I got this white and black striped tshirt which again I think will be really easy to wear all through summer. I think basic tops like these come in really handy just to throw on at this time of year!

Tshirt - £4

Next I picked up this plain black body suit. I really liked the choker style neckline as it adds a bit of detail. I feel that this item will be really good for nights out during summer.

Bodysuit - £8

If you haven't already checked out Primark's sportswear section I would definitely recommend that you do! I fell in love with this mint and white tie die sport bra as I think it's a perfect way to add some colour to your gym wardrobe!

Sports Bra - £4

Next up is this floral print bikini which I looooove! It will look great with a tan on holiday.

Bikini- £10

Sticking with the beach theme I also bought this beach towel. I really love the bright colours and patterns!

Beach Towel - £7
The last thing I picked up in Primark was this pajama set. You can't go to primark without buying pajamas, right? I thought these would be perfect for warm summer nights and also to take on holiday.
I also think the pattern is really really pretty!

Pajamas - £8

H&M

As I am heading off on holiday in July the main aim of this shopping trip was to pick up some new bikinis and I was extremely impressed with H&M's swimwear collection. They have some amazing pieces which are really inexpensive! I picked up these two bikinis which are the same style but different colours. I was drawn to the detailing down the middle of the top, I just think it gives a simple bikini that extra something!

Bikini - £8

Bikini - £8
Asos

Also with my holiday in mind I picked up the gorgeous co-ord from asos. I really like the boho vibe it gives off and I think it will be a really cute outfit to wear out at night on holiday!

Co-Ord - £42
I also got these sandals which tie up around the leg. I think these will go really well with the co-ord and as they are nude I will be able to pair them with almost anything!

Sandals - £22

New Look

I've been looking for a pair of pink mirrored sunglasses for a while so as soon as I saw these I just had to have them!

Sunglasses - £6

Missguided

Last but not least is the nude tshirt with cross detailing at the neck. Again, I think this will be really easy to wear on summer days and I love love loooooove the colour! I also really like the detailing at the neck as it adds something extra to an otherwise basic tshirt.

Tshirt - £10

Summer clothes are my absolute favourite so I can't wait to continue to add things to my summer wardrobe!!

Future Cheer & BCA 2016 | Cheerleading Nationals

As some of you may know from previous posts I am a member of my university's cheerleading team, EUCC Vixens. I tried out for one of the competition squads back in September and I was lucky enough to be given a spot on the team.

In February is was time to put all of our training to the test as we headed to Birmingham to compete in our first competition of the season, Future Cheer University Nationals. It was the first time I'd ever attended any sort of dance/cheer competition so I was quite nervous but extremely excited at the same time! We had three different teams competing over the weekend: Small Hip Hop which placed 4th, Large Pom which placed 2nd and Cheer All Girl Level 2 which placed 1st and then went on to receive the grand champs award for the whole cheer division as it was the highest score routine of the day! We also had several different stunt groups competing who also done extremely well. It was such a fun, but tiring, weekend and our success made us even more excited for our next competition!

After a few weeks of hard conditioning and perfecting our routines it was time to head to Telford for out second competition! We were in Telford for 3 days and competed in both BCA Universty Nationals and BCA National Championships. Again, we had three different teams competing as well as several stunt groups. All teams done extremely well and it was EUCC Vixens' most successful competition to date, we even made history!!!
Uni Nationals Results:
Pom - 3rd
Hip Hop - 1st (and grand champs of dance)
Cheer All Girl Level 2 - 1st (and grand champs of cheer)
Stunt Groups - 1st (and grand champs of stunt group)
We were the first team ever in the history of BCA to win grand champs for all the categories!!
National Championships Results:
Pom - 1st
Hip Hop - 1st (and grand champs of dance)
Cheer All Girl Level 2 - 1st (and grand champs of cheer)
Stunt Groups - 1st
This was honestly one of the best weekends of my life and I will definitely remember it for a very very long time! As cliched as it sounds the weekend's success made me so so soooo proud to be a Vixen!!

The success we had at both competitions definitely made all the hours of training and exhausting conditioning worth it. Being awarded 1st place is 100% up there with one of the best feelings in the world! I am SO sad that the season has come to an end. How I'm going to cope without training for 4 months I do not know!! I'm having withdrawal symptoms already, but on the plus side my body will get some well deserved rest. I'm so excited for next season already so that EUCC Vixens can continue taking over and make history all over again!

2015 | Let's Look Back...

I always like to look at the beginning of a new year as the beginning of a new chapter of a book. I've never really be in to making new year's resolutions or anything like that but I've always liked the idea of closure. The idea of moving on and learning from bad experiences in order to improve yourself and make your life the best it can be.

Personally I really enjoyed 2015. Don't get me wrong I did have my down days but the good ALWAYSSS outweighs the bad, right?! I experienced so many new and exciting things, met so many new people and also grew closer to a lot of people!

I've always been the type of person who likes to keep record of all my memories etc so that when I'm old and grey I can look back at my life and smile at all the things I was lucky enough to do. So, with 2015 now being officially over I thought it would be a good idea to take a look back at all of the things I have enjoyed most about this year...

People

I am extremely grateful for all of my friends and family members, I honestly don't know what I'd do without them! But, there are three people who have helped to make my 2015 extra special.

My AMAZING mum ♥
My crazy little sister

My wee best pal

Fitness

This year I have really gotten in to fitness and healthy eating. As weird as it sounds I really enjoy going to the gym and the results you get really motivates me to work harder! I have always hated my body shape and now I am finally starting to become more happy with my figure. I still have a long way to go and I know this sounds extremelyyyy cringey but I am really proud of myself for getting where I am today. So here's to all the workouts, clean eating and fun runs to come in 2016!

Night's Out

Some people may describe me as quite the party girl...I love getting all dressed up, going out and having a good time with my friends! I love thinking about all the funny drunken stories!! Here's a few pictures from my favorite nights out from 2015

Univeristy

2015 saw me finish my second year and enter my third year of University (for those of you who don't know I study Psychology at the University of Edinburgh!) I felt kind of apprehensive going into third year as this is where it get harder and your grades actually count towards your degree! So far I feel like I'm actually doing pretty well (touch wood!) and I have been happy with most of the grades I have received throughout the first semester. Hopefully I can keep it up and improve in 2016!!

Travel

As most of you will know from reading my previous posts I went on a 2 week holiday to Cuba in July this year for a wedding. It was definitely the main highlight of 2015 for me, I loved every single minute of it!! I absolutely love going on holiday and one of my aims for 2016 is definitely to travel more and go to at least one city/country that I've never been to before!

Cheerleading

Dance has always been a big part of my life and when I moved away to University 2 years ago I had to leave the dancing school I'd been a member of for 14 years, I really did miss it a lot so this year I decided to try out for the University's cheerleading team and I was lucky enough to get on to one of the competition teams! I have made so many amazing new friends though it and although the training is hard I thoroughly enjoy it and I am so glad I decided to give it a go!

My little sister is a huge fan of the Australian boy band 5 Seconds of Summer so when we found out they were playing at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle we just had to get tickets! They put on a really good show and we both thoroughly enjoyed the night!

Christmas

Christmas is one of my favourite times of year as it means that I can spend a few weeks at home with my family. I just love how happy everyone is at this time of year and obviously you can't beat a good Christmas Dinner!

Writing this post has made me realise 2015 was actually an amazing year...but I'm sure 2016 will be even better!! I think that the main thing I'll take from 2015 is to do what makes me happy and not to worry about what anyone else thinks (cliched I know!) I also feel that 2015 tought me not to believe the words that people say but to believe their actions instead. I have got such a positive feeling about 2016 and I am determined to make it the best year yet!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!
